The regular season is over and the long wait until bowl season has started. However, that doesn't mean the college football news stops.
Even with teams still having bowl games to play, coaches in the Southeastern Conference are making moves in and out of the conference. With recruiting about to heat up for the finale, I thought we could take a look at which teams might be helped and which may be hurt by some hires and defectors.

The SEC regular season is done and it is down to one game between the LSU Tigers and the Georgia Bulldogs to determine who is the king of the Southeastern Conference. While Alabama and Arkansas would like to say they're #2 and #3 in the SEC, there is only one other team playing in the game and that is Georgia. While Bama and Arkansas have had their opportunity to knock off the king, it is Georgia's time come Saturday.

After 10 weeks of play, the separation between the top 5 teams and the rest of the SEC is becoming very apparent. LSU is playing the best right now and has justified their #1 ranking week in and week out, however, they still have to play Arkansas in two weeks. This weekend, Georgia has an opportunity to clinch the SEC East, while LSU will have to wait to see if they can clinch with a win against Arkansas.

Congrats to Coach Richt & the Georgia Bulldogs!
2011 SEC Eastern Division Champions!
There is so much you can write and so many things that went wrong in this game:
What is up with Isaiah?
What is up with Aaron?
Were we tight?
Did we not have focus?
All of those things, we'll answer... just not tonight! Tonight, we are going to celebrate being SEC East Champions. That is what matters right now. Tomorrow, we'll get to work!
Go Dawgs! See y'all tomorrow!

Georgia's suspension of three of their scholarship running backs has led to wild media speculation about whether or not Georgia withheld the players' suspension until after the Florida game in order to get a win over their big rivals. However, today, Mark Richt and AD Greg McGarity went on record to defend their actions and refute any speculation that Georgia withheld any results or suspensions until after the Florida game.

In the world of the SEC, November 5th will be just as big as the last game of the season. This weekend's games will go a long way as to who will go on to represent the East and West divisions in Atlanta, and, more than likely, one of the representatives for the National Championship game. In the West, it is a monster #1 vs. #2 showdown with LSU and Alabama. In the East, Arkansas will look to play spoiler for South Carolina - and you can bet Georgia fans will become big time Razorback fans this weekend.

The Southeastern Conference's Digital Network (SECSports.com) accidentally leaked that the University of Missouri will, in fact, be the 14th team to join the Southeastern Conference. The leak featured a press release, an information guide to the University of Missouri, a Missouri-SEC Connection release, a Missouri to the SEC Basketball Release, and an interview with Mr. CFB, Tony Barnhart.
